God Has a Plan!
Friends,
Let me preface this letter by saying, pray before you read it. There is a lot of information, my insights and experiences here. I do not want anyone to get into fear or under condemnation. I do not write to fear monger, to attack people, or to get into controversy.
I have always loved the land, animals, plants—creation has always been a marvel to me from my childhood. I grew up on a farm and thought my Grandpa and Grandma’s farm in Missouri was heaven on earth. I am shocked and horrified by the oil spill in the Gulf. The ocean was peace-giving to me in my pre-Christian days. Many are saying this disaster is one of the judgments of the sea turning to blood in the Book of Revelation.
What if the Ancient of Days has said,
“Enough!”
What if the bowls are full, the incense of prayers have reached the throne of God along with the stench of burning flesh and rebellion?
I stumble at the senseless devastation of the pristine Gulf of Mexico and the possible destruction of our coastlines. What if God has turned His Hand against our foolishness and a hurricane, or hurricanes drive the mess inland?
What if the combination of the oil and chemicals use cause a die out of many creatures? The resulting stench would permeate our Southern states. What if the marsh lands were filled with oil and lightning strikes or some other disaster set it aflame? Our city was filled with smoke from the great forest fires which swept over 100 miles south of us.
A great pall……only God can deliver.
You can tell I have been shocked by this explosion and the pervading confusion surrounding it, wondering what the impact will be upon this nation and others around the Gulf of Mexico financially and governmentally. What forces will seek to dominate, what interests pandered to? I have many serious questions as to why this well is not yet stopped in light of available advanced technologies. We can move, by computer, an outdated interplanetary vehicle on Mars, but can not stop an oil leak on the ocean floor!
I do not mean this to be critical, but part of me is incredulous. Not enough ado is being made about something bigger than we realize.
This paralyzes the U.S. oil industry and will cause gas prices to skyrocket, as well as make us more dependent on Moslem oil.
The enemy knows how to exploit the shock value of the many challenges that face us individually and nationally, and to pander to our fears. Good people are suffering, and America is trembling—the news appears to be all negative, despite the fact that foreclosures are around 10% nationally and at the worst of the Depression of the 1930’s were over 40%. That is little comfort to someone not able to pay their bills.
Many say the worst is yet to come. It seems that way in the chaos of the man-made melodrama that is our daily bread when we feed on this world and its wisdom.
This fear has crept into the church. The year 2000 was the most prosperous year in American history, yet the percentage of Christians tithing was significantly lower than the darkest days of the Depression in 1931. Now with our national finances in such confusion, about half of all Christians have stopped giving.
What will be our response to being a Christian when identifying with Jesus Christ and Him crucified brings a reproach and persecution? I tremble at this, for He Himself asked would He find faith on the earth at His return.
Always remember that God prepares a table for us in the presence of our enemies. Just last night and this morning I was recounting things in Scripture—God is not hamstrung by the events that break nations. Elijah was fed by ravens morning and evening while he hid from wicked Jezebel and Ahab at the Brook Cherith—this was during a three-year drought God had Elijah proclaim. This is not a fairy tale—I am sure most of you can give many accounts of supernatural provision.
God fed the children of Israel with manna from Heaven when they were in the wilderness—can He not feed us as well?
My wife and I assisted an African man in cooking on a huge wood stove for close to two hundred people—many had walked for weeks from war torn countries surrounding Kenya. Some had not eaten bread for two years. We watched God multiply food, to not only feed the half-starved students, but several families living on the compound. God was amazing! One third of the people had eaten and food was running out. We prayed and the level in a huge pot of stew never dropped below the one fourth that remained before we prayed!
We have seen God miraculously provide protection, provision of every kind when there was no natural solution—-He has not changed in changing times,
“Let your conduct be without covetousness and be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said ,’ I will never leave you or forsake you.” So we may boldly say, ’The Lord is my Helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’—Hebrews 13: 5
We must feed on the Lord and His faithfulness and not to allow our hope and faith to be undermined by uncertain times and the increasing war of attrition that has been fought against Christianity and common sense in our culture since my childhood. I am 56 years old. I first became conscious of this war in 1962 when Christian values were challenged in my public school. Our very national base has been eroded a little at a time, and we have bowed to the world. My question to the saints who were mature when prayer was thrown out of the school—“Where were you?”
I know in my deepest being that in the midst of upheaval, God is at work. It saddens me that so much time and money is wasted trying to fight God and do things without Him in our country—all Utopian experiments go from euphoria to bondage to tyranny. Money and ideal circumstances do not change the fallen nature of man, just puts perfume on the stench, and enables us to kill ourselves in decorator style. Christians must realize the greatest challenges we face ahead are not war, famine, pestilence, or financial difficulty. Arrogance and pride are futility and vanity.
The greatest challenges we face ahead are, as follows:
1. Deception, false doctrine, false teachers, false prophets—we must remember that even the very elect will be deceived if possible. A false gospel and a false Christ are at work—how the Word is ignored! Appeasement and accommodation are the standards, not the Word of God.
2. Feral people who have no knowledge of God and are basically an “unreached people group”—they have been destroyed for lack of knowledge of the Truth and are ignorant. They are led by sensual impulse and degraded by the culture.
3. The anti-Christ spirit manifesting through those that hate the Truth because their deeds are evil and they love the darkness rather than the Light. These have wisdom that is earthly, sensual, and demonic. With these, Good is called evil, and evil is called good; Light is called darkness, and darkness is called Light. These are led by diabolical spirits that convince others that man is good and has no need of a Savior, Who died on the Cross, and shed His Blood. These are our opposition.
I also know these days demand Spirit-led prayer based upon the Word of God and not opinions or prejudices is crucial. Fasting is being restored to the Church. Faith and obedience and adherence to the Word must replace doubt and unbelief.
The Church is divided terribly and according to statistics, only 13% of those professing to be Christians believe the Bible is the Word of God, unchanging, without error. Wow! When I was a boy, even sinners believed the Bible! This division is so used by Satan—my God have mercy on us, for we have the doctrine of Balaam and Jezebel teaching His people to fornicate with this world and her ways and condoning sexual immorality.
Preachers and teachers of God’s Word, why do you not challenge such error? Why do you not preach the Word to those who are stumbling and sinning in your own churches? I take it by actions rather than words that many people who identify themselves as Christians support abortion and same-sex marriage. Really, what are you preaching or being taught? How many people are living together in your own churches, some ignorantly, others rebelliously? We are to gently instruct those who disobey, corrupting themselves, so they may be taken out of the snare of the enemy. We are to warn, to declare, to assist, to forgive, to correct, not to condemn.
We are to remember we all stumble in many things, especially with the tongue, but I can only surmise the lack of honor for the Word of God is because men and women of God are crowd pleasers and not God pleasers.
Universalism is sweeping much of the Body—that Jesus is a way, not The Way, that there are many paths to salvation, and not the One.
We must take the warnings literally in I John 4: 1-6 seriously and not bend to confusion. This challenge is so plain in our nation as to be absurd to believers who know the Word: ANY SPIRIT THAT DENIES JESUS HAS COME IN THE FLESH IS THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST.
“And we have seen and testify that the father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God abides in Him and , and He in God.”—I John: 15-16
“Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him Who begot also loves Him Who is begotten of Him.” I John 5: 1-2.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. And all things were made through Him, and without Him, nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”—John: 1-2.
Remember that heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of God will endure forever. Our seeming helplessness in the temporary natural circumstances of life must not translate into hopelessness or the abandoning of our Faith in what cannot be shaken, the Eternal Kingdom. We have righteousness and peace in the Holy Spirit. We have eternal promises God has sworn Himself to by His Name and His Word—these things are immutable and cannot be changed!
We also have the scale and precedent of Scriptural history that God has always moved on the faith of the minority rather than the agreement of the majority. We must not succumb to the “overwhelmingness” that pervades the spiritual atmosphere. Our small cityhas erupted in suicides. We have had 8 needless deaths in the last month and a half. One was a young teen; another was a man playing Russian roulette. All were people who had family who loved them—our city is shocked and many Believers here are praying. The spirit of antichrist is wearing out the saints, but God is about to laugh and when He does, it will not be pretty (Psalms 2)—see “House of Cards," here on my blog.
We must feed on the Lord and His faithfulness. We must not succumb to fear or anger in these days and be as wise as the Apostle Paul who knew how to adapt in less than favorable circumstances without compromising. We must be willing to share our faith as the Holy Spirit leads and pray that our nation will not be ripped asunder by civil strife and hatred. We must be standard bearers in the Storm and Harvest ahead.
Most of all, we all need to draw closer to the Fountainhead of our faith, Jesus Christ. He is our Anchor and Encouragement.
I want the saints to consecrate themselves to the Lord, to allow the Holy Spirit to fill and guide, to have hearts and minds set upon the Truth of God’s Word, and not to be swayed by the pulpit of the culture. I have realized so profoundly that I do not hate those who disagree with the Bible. I have also simultaneously found I am hated by those who do.
Consecrate means to devote oneself to a sacred purpose for God with deep solemnity and dedication. These are those days we will look back on in the not distant future and either rejoice that we used them to prepare our hearts or mourn that we did not. Our Peace is not of this world, neither is our Joy.
These are the days when the Holy Spirit is manifesting the hearts of men—the façade of being civilized, upwardly evoluting human beings is being torn apart. Soon it will be plain that flesh has descended to the mindset of Roman hedonistic control and that in our great “advancement”, we have become technocratic barbarians. If the most technologically advanced nation in Europe, the seat of great arts and architecture, and the cradle of the Protestant Reformation—Germany—could descend into the abyss of abortion, euthanasia, and genocide (in that order), and spawn the most horrible war the world has yet seen…..what about the potential of our own nation.
Do you really think we are better?
We will simply hate and destroy and kill more conveniently, less visibly, and sadly, more acceptably, more sanitized—that is the nature of the beast without the redemption of Jesus Christ working from within: if the Law of God is discarded, then there is no law.
How much of this society would rejoice if Christians were silenced and put in camps as the Jews were in Europe? If it is not wrong to kill baby, it is not wrong to kill Grandma; if is not wrong to kill Grandma, then it is not wrong to kill the disabled and ill; if it is not wrong to kill the disabled and ill, it is not wrong to kill those who disagree with you.
I marvel at the intolerance and ranting hatred of those who fancy themselves tolerant to the point they will not even allow debate! It is hard for me to take hate from all arenas, including the ones professing Christianity.
Redeem the time, beloved, and understand the purposes of God’s Great Plan are upon us! A dear friend recently passed away. He was essentially in a coma and incoherent, and had been in that state for several days. His last words spoken on this earth were to his wife and came a couple of days before he died.
He opened his eyes and looked clearly at his wife and spoke plainly,
“God is amazing!”.
His wife was startled, knowing his condition, and said, “I know God is amazing—what do you mean?”
He replied,
“God is amazing! He has a Plan! God is amazing!”
Those were his final words, his final declaration of what he could already see.
He was seeing What is Ahead—God’s Plan!
This is not the sum of all fears, but the Sum of all Hopes and Promises in God’s Word. We are in the time of merging of two Ages, the end of one and the beginning of another—no other saints have lived in such a time since the days just before and during the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ.
SO MUCH WILL COME TO PASS IN A SHORT SEASON OF TIME. IT WILL MEAN MORE THAN I HAVE THE COMPREHENSION TO FULLY UNDERSTAND.
We must adapt to the great movement of God’s Spirit, brooding over the face of the earth, the deep of humanity. It will mean unprecedented change-it will mean many challenges and adaptations. God is rising up as the Ancient of Days again,
“For the Lord will rise up as at Mount Perazim, He will be angry as in the Valley of Gibeon—that He may do His work, His awesome work, and bring to pass His act, His unusual act.” Isaiah 28: 21
God’s Act is on! Read the entire chapter of Isaiah 28—we are living in it now! At Mount Perazim in II Samuel 5: 17-24, God’s Army marched with David, and in v.20 David declared “….the Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water!”
Imagine every dam the enemy had erected in your life, in your family’s life, in the Church—all that was designed to hold back the purposes of God—being burst through by a surge of the River of God! At the Valley of Gibeon, in Joshua 10: 11, God sent giant hailstones to route the enemy!
The day is upon us when the idols and mockery will be crumbled and humbled by signs and situations so awesome, so fearful, that every human will either know it is God and God alone Who judges and delivers, or harden his heart to Heaven and curse God. Spiritually the whole earth is coming to vertical ascent or descent, and mankind will either adore or mock Jesus Christ. Never forget that He is the Stumbling Block of I Peter 2: 6-10. We never seem to accept the folly, futility and vanity of opposing God and continuously try creating life as we choose to live it. Many roaring lions will whimper. Those who have dedicated themselves to destroying the faith and bringing down America will live to see their life’s work obliterated.
I PONDER WHAT BACKLASH WILL COME?
I believe time has been shortened and the Parable of the Vineyard in Matthew 20: 1-16 is coming full cycle. God is splicing the years of our lives into His Plan, and if we enter in, it will be as if we never missed a step! The tangible Presence of God is our portion. Never forget He is our Shield and our exceedingly great Reward! Jesus is the Peal of great price, the Field of the buried Treasure.
God’s Hand is upon us to be permanent, perseverant, long-suffering, obedient, faithful. The Holy Spirit is with us to guide, to comfort, to correct, to reveal Jesus, and to assist us in keeping our eyes upon the Prize. This is the hour to overcome and not to be overcome—I believe with all my heart the Holy Spirit is preparing the Bride for the Bridegroom. We are in the time of purification, for a Holy God to touch rebellion, bridle iniquity, and clean up messes. Remember Revelations 3: 5,
“He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.”
This is a time of declaration in the power of the Holy Spirit and the authority of God’s Word—when the chorus of adversity is upon us all it take is one word from God to scatter His enemies. God is amazing—-He has a Plan and He is amazing. I also believe this a time for us to occupy a higher place in the realm of the Holy Spirit.
We have several large pecan trees in our yard—you wouldn’t understand unless you live in the South, but these trees are messy three seasons out of the year—they shed leaves, flowers, pollen, and sap copiously. I was walking through the yard looking at the piles of spent flowers and much pollen, knowing that the yard was just raked clean, but you couldn’t tell it and realizing after I got this up, more would fall. At the same time I began to ponder the horrible contradictions in our nation, the pleading for freedom while taking life, the robbery, the greed, the gleeful corruption of our children, the hatred of any restraint—I was looking up through the canopy of pecan limbs and leaves, shading out the sun, asking God why, and suddenly I heard Him say,
“Come up higher!”
Suddenly I was above the trees looking down—they were actually beautiful, like big green flowers. I could not see the mess on the ground just the expanse of looking down.
I realized it was important to step into a place in my walk with God that is higher than any place I have ever been before. It is time to “go up” in worship, in obedience, in prayer, in fastings, in separation from all that is unclean. I need to see from Heaven’s perspective, to see God’s Plan in the midst of the wiles of the enemy and the sorrow of mankind in this life.
Earlier this year in one of our wonderful Wednesday night Holy Spirit services at our home church, I had my eyes closed in worship. I found myself standing at the flatland of a pure, fast running river. I knelt and drank, and let my eyes wander the course of the river back up the mountain to its source. I could trace it to a white cap and a dazzling bright light, and I knew my task was to walk uphill to the fountain head of this river, to find the source of the Water and the Light.
Time is gone, my friends.
Time as we know it has been spent and we are now running on Last Days Kingdom Time. The expanse of every purpose of God is upon us. I think we American Christians need to recount the cost of following Jesus. The landscape is rapidly changing—it appears to be sudden, but we have been asleep in midst of this for several decades. Now is the time to enter in. It is the Time to turn back to God.
We may have a Diaspora similar to the Jews being cast out of Israel. There may be persecutions as God allowed in the early church when all the existing Christians were gathered in Jerusalem and were scattered throughout the surrounding areas, preaching the Word (Acts 8: 1-4). Do we American Christians actually believe there is any less cost for truly identifying with Jesus Christ than in a Moslem or Hindu nation? We are greatly deceived to believe we may not be required one day lay down our lives for Him. Summer before last, the Lord dealt with me heavily with these words,
“From this time forward you must understand that in every place I call you to preach, you will stand before some of those who will give their lives for Me.”
Hurricane Floyd was bearing down on the coast of Georgia as a Category 5 at sea in 1999—-350,000 people were evacuated inland. We live a little over 100 miles inland on the interstate linking the coast with the rest of the state. Our town of 16,000 got a few thousand evacuees. We kept 40 or so at our church. There was a lot of confusion in some venues.
I was observing these events and the Lord spoke to me,
“These are thousands. The day will come when you will see millions forced to leave everything they have suddenly. They will either get out with what they can pack in a car or with the clothes on their back. They will have nothing and no way to get anything, without money or food.”
We have never seen refugees in our lifetime. The rumblings after Hurricane Katrina were a forewarning. We have lived in freedom, relative peace, prosperity enjoying a mostly benevolent government, protecting us as Christians.
How quickly, OVERNIGHT SEEMINGLY, all of this will change.
When was the last time you heard any teaching on the sufferings of Christ and what the Word says, even in the words of Jesus and Paul, what things we might face. There is no defeat in this. Our Home is not here. Here we have a table set in the presence of our enemies. We are strangers and pilgrims here, looking for a City whose Builder and Maker is God. Why must we despair in the face of troubles?
God has dealt with me about complaining and grumbling. I am whipped out with so much that goes on around me and in me. I know that Jesus is in the vestibule about to enter in—the move of repentance that is upon us will be the exact opposite of the global movement of laughter years ago. People will be on the floors weeping and crying out to God for repentance and mercy for hours instead of laughing for hours. God spoke that to me while I as laughing. He told me it was Him, but the same people who dissed laughter would scorn repentance. It will be scary, but it will be God.
REPENTANCE IS NECESSARY TO WALK IN GOD’S GLORY AND PROTECTION IN THE STORMS AHEAD—THANK GOD THE LIGHT IS ALREADY SHINING THROUGH THOSE STORMS BY FAITH.
I saw this manifest in the church in which I was saved under my first pastor, Rusty Russell. I saw this manifest on the campus of the University of Georgia where a street preacher called the students to repentance for nearly 6 hours—he was cursed, pelted with bottles, trash, spit on….then the Glory of God fell and the same mockers’ teeth chattered like castanets as they fell before God begging for forgiveness. What God is going to do…oh my!
Some are turning away in hard times, and I do wonder, how much longer? Remember the warnings of Scripture—a “falling away”, the Apostasia will come. Let us not die in the wilderness in unbelief so close to Home!
We will be very glad we serve and fear the Lord! How I have complained and grumbled, and even with held my heart from the Lord in hard times! How I have been complacent when I should have been preparing for the days ahead!
Let us remember these words,
“’Your words have been harsh against Me’,
says the Lord,
Yet you say,
‘What have we spoken against You?’
You have said,
‘It is useless to serve God; What profit is it that we have kept His ordinances, and that we have walked about as mourners before the Lord of Hosts?
So now we call the proud blessed, for those who do wickedness are raised up;
They even tempt God and go free.’
Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard them;
So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who meditate on His name.
‘They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts,
‘On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.’
Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.”—Malachi 3: 13-18
My daughter has moved in the Gifts since she was child. Last Wednesday night, she had the following vision:
First of all she was moved by the love of God for us and our need to make loving Him our focus—then she had a vision of lightening, not moving from top to bottom, North to South, but moving side to side, from East to West. She saw this moving in the congregation. Then she saw us being covered with blue, purple, and white.
Immediately this Scripture flashed in my spirit,
“For as the lightning comes from the east and flashed to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”—Matthew 24: 27
Events are going to move like this in the days ahead—like lightning! God is going to move, back and forth, across the Body of Christ and the earth, with End Time Events in rapid succession.
God gets my attention when my daughter moves in the Gifts. She has done this since she was a child. I know that colors have significance in the Scriptures so I did some investigation. Here is what I found:
Blue is the color of Heaven, and can represent a holy covering. It is identified with chastening, separation from the world, and obedience to the Commandments of the Lord.
Blue is associated with water and multitudes.
Purple is a symbol of royalty and riches, and like blue, was a holy covering. It is associated with fine materials and craftsmanship. It can represent robes, purity and separation, being hidden, and dwelling places.
White is a symbol of purity and refinement, being unblemished, righteousness, and heavenly things. It is associated with victory and the Throne of God.
I will not go into these things, but let your mind run wild!
God is anointing His people—remember GOD HAS A PLAN!
Read Psalm 20 and encourage yourself in the Lord! Jesus lives.
